Craig’s Night-Time
Developed around Lake Taupo in the 1930’s to suggest the koura (freshwater crayfish) this pattern is still an outstanding trout catcher. The short tail (or tag) accounts for many fish that might be lost through nipping at the tail of a traditional pattern.
This is a very easy to tie pattern and should be present in any night fishers fly box.
